Plesiosaurs were long-necked marine reptiles. They ate shellfish, fish and squid. Plesiosaurs also had long necks and small jaws. Unlike plesiosaurs, pliosaurus had short necks but colossal jaws so they could eat bigger animals. Plesiosaurs had two large pairs of paddles, short tails and broad bodies. Also, they often had interlocking teeth. They were usually about 11 feet in length, full grown.
