The Panther Chameleon (Furcifer pardalis) is one of the amazing species from our Vivarium.

These beautiful reptiles hail from Madagascar, where they live only in the trees. However, Madagascar has seen catastrophic deforestation, reducing the country’s forests by over 80%. Primary forest now covers only about 12% of the country.

Our Vivarium is focused on wildlife conservation and highlighting the threats faced by many species. Deforestation is a major threat to Madagascar's biodiversity as 90% of Madagascar's endemic species, including panther chameleons.
